I just learnt the perils of expensive bamboo needles.
Left them on my bed, and my rabbit has just chewed huge chunks out of them.

Yikes. I wouldnāt leave any knitting out around pets. Our cat nearly strangled on some yarn once and my dog chewed up one of my DPNsā¦with a sock on it. 
Oh no your bamboos. They can be very expensive too. Luckly enough I got my 15 piece set online at a reasonable amount of money.

Haha - gotta love pets ! I have balls of yarn our youngest pup got to and made into a knotted mess (some day I will sit and work them back into useable balls) , I have needle cases she aerated for me ā¦ as for the bun bun I had prior to the dogsā¦I still find things he chewed - he was a house rabbit so he had a cage, but mostly ran about and used his cage to potty and eat. After he died I found he had made a den inside the back of our old sofa downstairs. I knew he went UNDER the sofa to hide out when people he didnāt know came over, but didnāt realize he was going up INTO the back of the sofa !!

Jan, you make a valid point - heās like a toddler - I only left it out for a minute, but of course he found it! Sigh!
Itās very difficult to keep things out of his reach though, because he can climb!
Okay - I have to ask - āhouse bunnyā? Doesnāt a bunny just poop wherever it wants? Can you train them? How?

Iāve been told rabbits are litter trained like cats (or perhaps easier than cats).
We have had several guinny pigs and almost all would tug on your shirt to signal their need to releave. Not sure if we trained them or if they trained us on that! :lol:[/color]

HMMM - I have had 2 house bunnies and they were both litter trained. My girl was better about it than my boy - he would at times leave a pellet (poop) trail down the hall but the vacuum took care of that. Mine had an elevated cage he went in while I was at work or on vacation. Bun Buns have a lot of personality when handled properly. Mine would come sit on the couch or chair with you when it wanted attention and do flips when it was happy. When it spelled cats on the porch he would slam is back feet into the ground (to warn all the other bunnies that danger is near). He had a stuffed animal that he would cuddle with too ! When I had my apt and the kitchen table was on the carpet he would jump and eat Cheerios and raisins out of my bowl when I wasnāt looking.

they most certainly do have character! ours is a regular grumpy old man!
He loves to throw his toys around, and he also adores raisins, craisins, corn chips, dried strawberries, and sweet biscuitsā¦ of course we donāt let him eat these all the time.
He has a plastic tray like a cat or a dog, but sometimes he doesnāt get there in time!
he pushes you with his nose to let you know that he wants you to keep stroking him, and he absolutely adores snuggling with me on my electric blanket and watching movies.
Our family loves him, but heās big on chewing wires, shoes, bags, bamboo needlesā¦ pretty much anything you can think of! youād think Iād have learnt by now, weāve had him for 2 years!
