Bag Handles/Straps

Hi All,

About a hundred years ago there was a thread on here regarding ingenious methods for handles on knitted bags, such as belts, chain, rope… There were a lot of suggestions that I’d love to read through now I’m a more competant knitter, but I can’t find the thread.

Does anyone know where it might live?

Or if not, Can we do it again? What have you used as bag handles?

I’ve used macromae (sp?) belts and they looked pretty cool!

I recently saw a tape measure used as a shoulder strap.

oh, and plastic tubing - plain or with yarn run thru it or the plastic tube run inside an i-cord to give it stability.
