Crochet!

My step mother taught me how to Crochet when I was very young. I picked it up easily, but it never really struck my fancy. Years later, I decided to take up knitting… and recently I checked out the Stitch N’ Bitch Crochet book from the library – so suddenly, it’s all come back to me. I’m rather rusty, however. I only barely remember the basics (how to make a chain, how to join a circle, etc). But I’ve picked it up easily again.

So MAYBE… just maybe, I might start to crochet again as well as knit. However, every yarn I use seems to be too thick or something. I can’t describe it. Maybe I just don’t feel as comfortable with a crochet hook as I do with my knitting needles…

I might go out and buy the stitch n’ bitch crochet book so I don’t have to keep renewing it. LOL

Glad you are giving it another shot. I taught myself how to knit and crochet and I prefer crocheting over knitting because it is easiest for me.So I am the exact opposite of you,lol I just can’t seem to get the right feel for knitting and all those fancy stitches intimidate me.Anywho I like being able to do both. I am going to have to check out the book you mentioned. I have heard alot about it.Welcome back !

I went back to the library today and I found a pattern for a hat. I’ve been wanting to make myself a hat for ages, and crocheting one is much easier than knitting one… so that will be my motivation.

I have the pattern. Now I just have to remember how to read it. LOL I’m determined to get it and stick with it this time!
