:knitting: I am working on a child’s jumper and the pattern calls for me to join the seams using back stitch. I would normally have used mattress stitch, however, because I am using Powderpuff yarn (soft and fluffy) and can not see the stitches, I am guessing that this would be the reason they are recommending back stitch. What would be the easiest way to do this with my seams?
Thx,
Donna
You might want to read backstitch seam info here. Also check out the other ‘seam’ related chapters.

Thank you!
Just one more thing, when doing backstitch, do I have wrong sides facing on top of eachother or side by side?
Thx
Donna
You’d have RS facing each other. Work on the WS (just like when sewing fabric). Mattress is unique in how it’s worked on the RS.

Thanks again,
Will definately use mattress stitch for future projects!:cheering:
