My daughter-in-law’s sister and her husband have been trying for 8 years to have a baby. They had pretty much given up and started looking at adoption when God blessed them and she is due in November. I wanted something special for them so I made this blanket and hat. I still have to knit the little baby socks to go with the hat, but dope that I am, I forgot to get fingering yarn when I bought the worsted.

These are Ravelry “Wave Blanket” and “Star Baby Hat” patterns and the yarn is Mary Maxim Baby Value Yarn in blue and white.

Your work is gorgeous! Congratulations to your son and daughter-in-law on the coming baby. I am expecting a new grandson also, in March 2015. I too am going to knit a sweater, blanket and booties for him as a surprise to his mother.

I wish, but it is my daughter-in-law’s[U] sister [/U]who is having the baby so no real relation to me. :slight_smile: Nope both my kids are done having children at one each so I only have two grandsons, one is 14 and a freshman in high school and the other is 7 and a second grader.
