i just finished a baby sweater from a sirdar pattern. i seems really small. i havent blocked it (not really sure how to) would this affect the size? so confused!!
Depending on the yarn you used blocking could affect the size.
What pattern, yarn and needle size did you use?
Babies are known to be small.

it is sirdar pattern 1311, with dk yarn on 3.25 & 4.0mm needles.
Did you do a swatch or just use the needles and yarn the pattern recommends?
i didnt do a swatch, just used the yarn and needles the pattern called for.
Do the measurements of the sweater match the measurements in the pattern?
If when you measure your sweater as Ingrid suggests you find it’s smaller than the measurements given, then you’re knitting tighter than the gauge given. If it’s way, way smaller you may want to ravel it out, do a swatch, and redo it with needles that will come closer to the measurements given.
Most importantly–how big is the baby the sweater is for?
