Baby Sweater?

Hi, does anyone know of an EASY baby sweater pattern for a newborn. I have never made a sweater of any kind. I just recently learned how to make baby booties and hats  My cousin is having a baby Oct. 2 and I would like to make her a hat, bootie, and sweater set. It is her first child and she is very excited. I am going to do it in a lemon colored bernat softee yarn. I was looking at a seed stitch hat and bootie pattern, so a sweater pattern that involves seed stitch would go perfectly but I am open to any ideas. Any suggestions?? :expressionless:

This one is easy–I am in the process of making two of them, different yarn so different sizes. The math for the middle size is off, but I think the newborn size is correct. You can change the ribbing to seed stitch to match.

www.knittingpatterncentral.com has tons more, too.

This one looks easy:

And this one is even easier!

I’m in the progress of finishing one of these. I’m using a cotton/acrylic blend and doing it in two different colours. The back, one front panel and one sleeve is done denim blue and the rest (one front panel, one sleeve and the I-cords for tying it up) is in lime green colour.

It was very easy to do. And if you want seed stitch you could do that for a bit instead of the garter stitch…

I also made this set of hat and socks in the same yarn:
