i am working on the instep of the booties and the shape foot
Row 1 (rs) K14(15,16) P3(4,5) K5(6,7) Turn. Leave 14(15,16)
st on a spare needle
Row 2 K3(4,5) P5(6,7) K3(4,5) turn leave 14(15,16)st on a spare needle
Row 3 P3(4,5) K5(6,7) P3(4,5) place marker at the end of the last row
Row 4 K3(4,5)P5 K3(4,5).
Rep rows 3 and 4 three times more.
Break yarn. Leave these 11(13,15)toe sts on a spare needle .
so i dont under stand rows 3 and the rep rows 3 and 4 and what doese it mean break yarn.
Shape foot
Next Row: with rs of work facing k the 14sts(15,16) remaining from Row1, pick up and K8(10,12) sts along right side of the instep,[K4 (5,6) K2tog,K5(6,7)]
from needle holding toe sts, pick up and K8 (10,12) along left side of the instep,K across rem 14 (15,16) sts on a spare needle
[54 (62,70) sts]
You do rows 3 and 4 a total of 4 times. Then you put the stitches on a “spare needle” as it says. You’ll be using them in little while. if the spare needle is too awkward for you to use you can use waste yarn and then put them back on the needle when you use them again.
Breaking the yarn just means to either literally break it or cut it.
It looks like you’re doing stockinette which is purl one side and knit on the other. If that’s what you’re doing the knit side is usually the RS or outside.
[54 (62,70) sts]
i am trying to do Next Row: with rs of work facing k the 14sts(15,16) remaining from Row1, pick up and K8(10,12) sts along right side of the instep,K4 (5,6) K2tog,K5(6,7)

You’ve already posted that section of the pattern. If you need answers other than my previous post you NEED to tell us what they are. We aren’t mind readers and we can’t knit it for you.
Are you having trouble with that whole section or just one part of it?
Okay, where it says knit 14sts(15,16) leftover from Row 1, the different numbers are for different sizes. Put the sts on a holder to a needle. Then you pick up 8, 10 or 12 sts from the side of the long middle piece, knit the sts on the top of that, then pick up sts down the other side of it. As you look at it work the sts on the right then up one side across the top, and down the other side to the sts on the left and knit them.
If you Google ‘video pick up stitches around edge’ you’ll find at least 3 videos that show you how to do this. Different methods but worth looking at each to see which you prefer. Hope this helps!
so you are saying i take the 14sts off the sts holder and but it on a needle then i join the ball of yarn and knit them then i go thew the frount and back stitch on the toe stitch side then k8 sts
Sort of. Take the sts on the right of your piece off the holder and put them on a needle. Then knit them and go up the side of the section that has more rows, picking up sts on the edge. Knit across the top sts of that section and pick up sts down the other edge, then knit the sts on the holder at the left. I wish I could draw a diagram, lets see what I can do…
Start with knitting the sts at the red line, pick up sts along the yellow line, knit the ones on the holder at the pink line, pick up down the green line, and knit the sts from the holder on the blue line. You have to use a new end of yarn, which can be the other end of your ball or a new ball.
