and that is all, it is really easy.
hope that helps! It certainly did for me.
thank you!! will this work on my next project?-you know, the baby poncho where you hv to sew the two rectangles together?
Great Job!!! Looks like you are off to a running start…WTG :cheering: :cheering:
I should think so, but with a poncho it is a little easier since there is an outside and an inside, so you can have a stronger seam, there are some videos on other ways of seaming I think. Though the edge to edge isnt bad I have to say!
Congratulations Puri! Welcome to the fun and exciting world of knitting. Be sure to post a photo of the blanket when you’re done!
wow! you guys hv no idea how much this support means to me!!
ok, question: the yarn i hv chosen is thick…i thought it will be easier to knit…
i did the whole blanket in garter stich… again, easier to knit
which colour do i use to sew!!! it is blue and pink alternative squares…and i cant hide the seams…
i guess i shudnt worry so much uh?.. first project and all… :??
When you do mattress stitch, the yarn you sew with is usually hidden, so pick one. For garter stitch you pick up the lower purl loop on one side and the uppur purl stitch on the other.
Ingrid, I wish I could spend about a week at your house just knitting by your side. I think I would learn more in that week than in all of the 3 years I’ve been knitting.
yup, the yarn doesn’t show!! :happydance:
