Baby Blanket knitters

Hi, two of my professors are pregnant and I was wondering the avg amount of time it takes to make a baby blanket. I’m thinking about doing just a basketweave pattern and will probably double up the yarn to have a faster knit.

I would make hats but both babies are due soon-and it gets HOT here in VA.

I knit one with double stranded Lion Brand Jiffy on size 17 needles in three days (it was probably something like 10 hours worth of knitting). It seemed REALLY quick.
