Babette Blanket

Has anyone made this blanket? It was from interweave crochet, I missed it. I been trying to find it online but no luck. anyone have this pattern? Or does anyone know how to make the squares? That’s what I’m really looking for.

Oops I forgot the link that shows the photo of it

That’s just a basic Granny Square. I have a whole book of patterns for different Granny Squares. None precisely the same, but let me see…

Round 1: Ch 4, in fourth ch from hook work 2 dc, (ch 3, 3 dc) 3 times, ch 3, sl st to top of starting chain.

Round 2: Chain 3, dc in same space and next 3 stitches, {(2 dc, ch 3, 2 dc) in chain 3 space, dc in next 3 dc} around ending with 2 dc, ch 3, sl st to close the square.

Round 3: Ch 3 dc in same space, dc in next 7 dc {(2 dc, ch 3, 2 dc) in chain 3 space, dc in next 7 dc} around, ending with 2 dc, ch 3, sl st to close the square.

Round 4: Ch 3, dc in same space, dc in next 11 dc {(2 dc, ch 3, 2 dc) in chain 3 space, dc in next 11 dc} around, ending with 2 dc, ch 3, sl st to close the square.

Continue the pattern and you can make it as big as you like. But that should give you a square that looks like the one pictured.

My mom is making one, and I have the IC issue somewhere LMK if you still need it.

I also just saw this blanket today and fell in love with it! If anyone has the pattern or knows where to get it (the website doesn’t even have Spring 2006 listed anymore), or even a scan would be fantastic!

:fingerwag: Even though it doesn’t seem like a big deal to scan and send copyrighted patterns, it is a violation of copyright laws. We try to avoid doing that in the forums–you never know when the Copyright Cops are checking up. :teehee:

If you really want a copy of the magazine, maybe try the Buy/Sell/Swap section?

Here’s a link I use for granny squares. http://www.crochetnmore.com/afghans.htm
You could just use the pic to make it the only problem is knowing how they seamed it together. GL!!

It’s certainly not my intention to break any copywright laws at all! I don’t mean to offend at all, my apologies.

No offense taken, at all. We just don’t want to start a trend.

Even if we’re not going to sell it or anything, just for our own personal use?

The way you have to look at it is like this:
You can make copies for yourself if you need to highlight your size instructions or to otherwise protect the original. You can’t keep the copy and pass the magazine on (either for free or for sale), and you can’t make a copy of a pattern for someone else and keep the magazine.

If you have a copy from the magazine, you need to have the original magazine too. You can’t lend it to someone so they can make a copy.

What people do outside the forum is up to them. The concern is using the forum to pass copyrighted information. We just don’t want Amy and Sheldon to get in trouble.
