B/O in the middle of work

http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEsummer03/PATTcleo.html

Knit first 60 [68] sts, BO next 39 [42] sts.

On next row, [k2, m1] across to last 2 sts, k1, m1, k1. 90 [102] sts.

Now, I have this one lonely stitch just kind of hanging out. What the heck do I do with it?!?! Do I just continue on knitting then?

Ok, this might be a to obvious answer… but do I need to bind off, cut the yarn and start from there?

Yeah… I think you’ve got it right.

That’s weird that they have you knit a bunch of stitches and then bind off at the end of the row – then you live yarn is at the end of the binded off stitches and can’t be used to knit your remaining stitches. So what you’ll need to do is rejoin the yarn and continue your knitting.

Typically when they have you bind off… I’ve seen it that you 1st bind off, then do you knitting --that way the live yarn is exactly where you need it.

Good luck! It’s an adorable halter top

Thanks Jessica! I needed some sort of confirmation!
