Azzorre pattern

Hello knitters, I am really struggling with this pattern with the increases and decreases as it does not calculate how many stitches you have at end of increase and decrease. I am doing the largest size and by my calculations

73 + 12 = 85 (1 st every two rows)
85 - 6 = 79 (3 st every two rows)
79 - 8 = 71 (1 st 4 times)
71 - 16 = 55 (every two rows 8 sts)
55 - 14 = 41 (every two rows 7 sts)
should be 33 sts left

Thanks

I have cut and pasted the pattern too.

Hello
It’s just this increase instruction which you seem to have misread. This is not a 12 st increase. It is a 4 stitch increase.

Increase 1 stitch at each end on the row being worked (+2 st)
Then
Increase 1 stitch at each end of the 6th row (+2 st)

73+ 4 = 77 sts

Then the decreases should work out down to 33.

I hope this helps.
What are you making?

That’s great thank you. I’m making a lovely summer jumper for my daughter. It’s on Love knitting in a yarn called Adriafil.
