Awesome Knitted Boots - HELP!

I just bought some great knitted boots, and now I’d like to make my own. I have some pictures here. It’s made from 3 pieces, a sole, front and back (I think…), and most of it is in intarsia knitting.

One problem though - each piece is nicely rounded (the front piece at the toe, the back piece at the heel, and the sole at each side). The outer 3 stitches curve in as the pattern decreases, and then these stitches seem to connect in neat little half circle - How would I do this?

Also, I was wondering how to do the wonderful 2-colour alternating bind-off as seen in the photo of the whole boot…

I’ve never made something on my own, aka. not from a pattern. Any help is really appreciated!

Thanks, but that’s not exactly what I’m looking for. Each of the three pieces are knit flat, and there’s no support in the middle…

Maybe you could check with whoever knitted the original boots?

They might be able to help you with the details!

Thanks for the advice, but unfortunately I don’t know who knitted the boots :frowning: . I got them from an eclectic store and I don’t think they were knit in the area… I would have asked someone here if I could, but unfortunately I dont know anyone who can knit!

I don’t need to exactly re-create the boots, I’m just wondering how I would go about doing the rounded part in the front (so basically, how do I decrease/finish off the knitting so it’s a neat half-circle)

Also, here’s a picture of the top, in case anyone knows how this part is done…

Any advice is much appreciated!
