I just bought some great knitted boots, and now I’d like to make my own. I have some pictures here. It’s made from 3 pieces, a sole, front and back (I think…), and most of it is in intarsia knitting.
One problem though - each piece is nicely rounded (the front piece at the toe, the back piece at the heel, and the sole at each side). The outer 3 stitches curve in as the pattern decreases, and then these stitches seem to connect in neat little half circle - How would I do this?
Also, I was wondering how to do the wonderful 2-colour alternating bind-off as seen in the photo of the whole boot…
I’ve never made something on my own, aka. not from a pattern. Any help is really appreciated!
Thanks for the advice, but unfortunately I don’t know who knitted the boots . I got them from an eclectic store and I don’t think they were knit in the area… I would have asked someone here if I could, but unfortunately I dont know anyone who can knit!
I don’t need to exactly re-create the boots, I’m just wondering how I would go about doing the rounded part in the front (so basically, how do I decrease/finish off the knitting so it’s a neat half-circle)
