Attention Ingrid:

Ingrid,
Just wanted to take the time to thank you for your help. I finished the front of the sweater. Not sure if it is right. I see one FUNKY thing in one spot but I will just wait and have the teacher at my yarn shop check it out.
I read the directions and what you wrote over and over for days and it started to make sense a little so I thought I might as well give it a whirl. I still don’t understand the decrease at the neck edge. I didn’t know what kind so I knitted two together.
I will start the sleeves tonight or tomorrow.
You’re the best,
Susie

You’re more than welcome! I really enjoy doing this–I get so much pleasure out of knitting and I love to share that.

The k2tog was the perfect thing to use to dec at the neck.

For a so-called newbie, you’re taking giant steps!! :cheering: :cheering:

Ingrid,
I figured I can sit here and wait for class a week from Tuesday OR I can just dig in and try. What have I got to lose? She would just rip it back if it was all wrong so I wouldn’t be losing anything.
If I’m going to learn, I’ve GOT TO push myself.
I’m so glad you love your knitting and you love being a helper/teacher.
Hope your Thanksgiving is nice,
Susie
