I travelled out to Mary Maxim (Paris, ON) today…and I was there for about 10 mins when the power went out with little sign of coming back on…
No Caron Simply Soft for me…not this week anyway!
Sorry to hear that. That must have been upsetting, especially when you travelled so far to get there in the first place.
Well…it was more a trip to the restaurant across the street…
but once I was there I found a few things I wanted…
I really want to try Caron Simply soft…sigh
It’s nice to work with. I made that shawl for my MIL with it. It washes up well and is VERY soft!!! I think you’ll like it once you can get your hands on it. Did you get to the restaurant today or was it closed for power outage as well?

Yes…the mistake was eating first then going to Mary Maxim…
I think it was a sign though…I was thinking of getting another a lot of something that wasn’t quite right for a future project…and I think it was fate telling me I should wait and get the right stuff!

Is it just me…or is it really hard to get in Canada…Mary Maxim is the first time I have seen it!
Unless Joann, Michaels or Walmart has it, it may not be available in Canada.
We don’t have Joann, but Michael’s and Walmart do not have it unfortunately. Mary Maxim was the first place I saw it too. I was lucky enough to live close by that I got to go to Mary Maxim several times and that restaurant across the street IS pretty good, but you should go downtown and check out some of the little cafes and the cute shops!
Oh…breakfast at Kels is amazing!
We are pretty close to Mary Maxim…but not close enough to go on a regular basis! (Kitchener) I will have to make another trek next week…
We Canadians should petition Caron to get into our Michaels and Walmarts!

Caron Simply Soft is also available at Herschner’s in Kitchener. Call them up and ask before you trek off to Paris again, although it is nice going through Mary Maxim. Those are the only two places I have seen it in Ontario though. Sueincanada just got some by mail order from Herschner’s so that is how I know they carry it right now.
Funny…I just went to Herrsheners…I didn’t see it there…
Somethings they have available online are not available in person!

OK Leslie, how’s this. The only two places in Ontario that I have found where you can get Caron Simply Soft are Mary Maxim store in Paris, Ontario and Herschner’s online. (Does this help?) Herschner’s does not carry it in the store I am told but Mary Maxim does! LOL!! (How’s that for a plug for your store?)
