Armhole Binding off

Hello everyone and Happy New Year!
Can anyone help me with a knitting pattern which calls for binding off for armholes for a dress as follows:

  • when back measures 20 1/8 lenght, bind off at each edge at beg of every row 2 sts 2 times, 1 st 2 times???

The pattern calls for starting with 58 sts and after binding off for armholes I should arrive at 46 sts which means that I am binding off 12 sts that I understand
but how do I do this:
does that mean that I should first bind off 2 sts at begining of lets say row one, then at beginning of next row 2 bind off 2 sts, and do this again at row 3 and row 4?
then bind off 1 st at beginning of row 5 and 1 more bind off at row 6 to arrive at 46 sts.

Can someone clarify how this is done, pattern does not have instructions.

Yes, bind off 2sts at the beginning of rows 1,2,3 and 4. Then bind off 1 stitch at the beginning of rows 5,6,7 and 8. A total of 12 sts bound off.

I thank you so very for your help, pattern is very hard to understand.
I am used to row number explanations but this is a Spain pattern so I guess they do it differently.
What a great knitting site this is and so helpful!
