On Knitty Gritty there was a Aran Throw that they made by making individual panels and sewing them together. (Well, the designer crocheted hers together) Are there other simple, small Aran projects (NOT sweaters) that a beginner like myself can try in order to practice Aran stitches? Does anyone know of any Aran knitting tutorials? Thanks in advance.
Aran Patterns Tutorial
I recently picked up a booklet at my local Michaels put out by Leisure Arts. It is 60 easy to knit attern stitches combine to create Sampler Afghans. You choose 24 of the patterns and make a square of each and then join together in order to make an Aran type afghan.
Someone else posted here a while back that she had bought a book that had patterns for about 100 stitch designs for making Aran sampler squares.
