Beautiful Aran Baby Blanket, Jessica.
I actually knitted an Aran Baby Blanket for my Grandson, which was my daughter’s baby shower gift. I made a smaller version of the Aran Blanket I knit for my daughter’s bridal shower gift, knitting the exact same stitches, minus a 4 narrow cable strips. Both blankets were knit in strips then I crocheted the strips together. You can check out the larger blanket on my website www.veronica-sews.com

I finally was able to give the blanket to the recipient last week, and when she saw it I thought she was going to cry. She just kept touching the cables and saying, I just love this so much. So, it makes this knitter feel good to know that my hard work is appreciated and will be used and well loved. 
Oh, that sounds like a wonderful reception. Makes it very worthwhile and easier to part with your beautiful knitting.
