My MIL’s birthday is coming soon and she is a tree/shrub freak (in a good way) and she is trying to fill an extra lot beside her house with any number of trees so I was thinking for her birthday I would get her a membership to the ArborDay foundation and order her a few trees to add to her lot. I wonder if anyone has ordered from them before and if the trees are pretty hardy…
thank you
Anyone order trees from ArborDay.org?
We ordered 15 fruit trees about 10 years ago – the ones that survived the deer, the ice storm and DH’s mowing put on great fruit. I don’t know if it’s the same but they come as STICKS – really, no bigger around than a dowel rod – and you have to soak them in water for a couple of days before you plant them. But still a great buy for the price…
I placed an order 4 years ago and everything is doing fine. I got the 10 free spruce trees. They were rooted and are about 3 ft high now. I also ordered some juniper shrubs and they are growing large too. I would love to have an Americal Elm. Ellie
everything is hardy in Nebraska.
