Hi there…I used a roving wool for the cowichan sweater and it’s knit quite loosely so it’s stretchy and soft. Problem is is that I want to windproof it and add extra warmth with a thin, stretchy (?) material so I don’t add too much bulk and also provide give to the sweater. Any suggestions? Thx!
Welcome!
I’ve lined sweaters before but not a loose knit. You could follow these basic directions. Even though these are for a baby sweater, the idea is the same. There’s also directions for joining the lining to the sweater.
The problem is getting the right amount of give or stretch in the lining so that the sweater doesn’t pull or gap. You may have to adjust the length of the lining as you wear the sweater.
Thanks for the reply! I did already come across that link you provided but was really wanting fabric ideas…
