I have a book in french from 1918… Does anyone speak french?
I should, but I don’t. All those years of French and all I remember are random words and how to make Bouche D Noelle and eat crepes 
Anyway I do think it’s really cool you that old of a book. I LOVE old books. When my grandmother died and we had to clean out her house I took ALL the books. I drive the hubby nuts buying old books esp old cookbooks and flyers at the Goodwill or garage sales.

The title is Tartarin De Tarascon… I’m pretty sure it’s a text book… It has a french/english dictionary in the back. REALLY good codition…

I love old books… I have 4 REALLY old books… One is called vacation days, That’s me all over Mable (about 90 years… GREAT condition… I’ve had that since I was 13, was my great great gmas. Also a Currier and Ives colelection book, and this one. I love old books… And for me, they are more than just “books”… I don’t put them on display… I put them on my shelf and read them like the rest. The Vacation Days isn’t in the greatest condition, so I don’t have that one out but I do read it.
I’m currently working on some newspapers from the 30’s and later earlier, more or less.

Alphonse Daudet is a well known French writer, and Tartarin de Tarascon is one of his major work. It’s a novel, but I never read it so I don’t really know what it’s about! :teehee: I don’t know if it’s the best of French literature, but I would think it’s entertaining.
