I am about to venture onto crocheting. Avid knitter but new to this.
I heard a pattern called Lumberjack only has singles, and doubles…if correct does anyone know of this pattern?

HERE is a pattern from crochetville.org which is called Lumberjack and looks to use only double crochet stitches. It’s pretty cool looking!
I have a few patterns that require only basic crochet stitches offered on my website that you might want to take a look at. The woven stitch makes a great afghan and only uses single crochet and chain stitch. And the ripple stitch uses only single and double and also makes a great afghan.
There are lots of other patterns offered free out there too. Have fun picking the one you are going to try!

As I am not a great crocheter {yet}…singles and doubles, the trouble I have is where to start the next stitch after you turn the chain to start or when a new row to start.
There are various patterns with the lumberjack name, however they all have different stitch combinations. Singles, doubles, trebles, crabs, and the like.
Here is a whole mile long list of patterns where you might find something you like and give you confidence to complete.
[color=“#330099”]… but I figured someone had to post a link to the Monty Python Lumberjack skit.
:roflhard:
What do you suppose such and Afghan would sing?
I’m a lumberjack and I’m okay,
I sleep all night and I work all day.
I cut down breeze, I fluff and plump,
I warm the newly weds,
I cro-chet women’s clothing
and hang across the bed.

Jack! :roflhard: :roflhard: :roflhard: :roflhard:
Yeah, what Melanie said! :roflhard:
Jack, you’re so well rounded!
