What size needle are your using?

the ribbing was a little bit loose on mine. But not so much that the sock fell down.

[B]My ribbing is fine, but the zigzag feels loose…but like I said, I haven’t gone very far…it barely zigs…:roflhard:[/B]
I think they should be ok, they won’t stretch out much. i used kp’s merino bare yarn for mine. I have use the MS on my first sock, it was the pattern on the label.
I cast on 76 sts for mine. they are a tiny bit baggy in the back down by the heel but only a tiny bit. I gotta go to bed, I’m so tired. But I’ll be here tomorrow, if you need me. I might get that fabric tomorrow too!

dotty~ I wish I had read this thread again yesterday…I never thought of doing a cable on this sock too… Instead I CO for a cable sock last night got the cuff done… just taking turns on them both :teehee:…I like the colors for your jaywalkers!!
lieke~the hardest part for me is to remeber not to give the yarn an extra tug… you want it to be lose or it will never go over your heel…it will be to tight :teehee:…I’m a tight knitter to begin with so I have to watch it really closely…

I hope you guys have a good day of sock knitting… I’m hoping I can find my shawl and socks I put in the fair… They said you could pick them up either Thurs night or Sat between 9-noon…went on Sat morning and NO ONE was there… after waiting for awhile someone stopped by and said oh yea I think they decided not to diddle with it this morning… so you will have to contact the fair board to figure that out… :gah:of course the fair board office was closed yesterday for Columbus Day…

[FONT=Century Gothic][B]Update ! Apparently, one of the big secrets to sizing on the Jaywalker is DON’T JUDGE THE SIZE until the sock is atleast 4 inches long. Once that bias kicks in, you have a snug fit ! I’m not sure I can go the whole 6 3/4 inch leg and still get it over my heel, but I’m lovin’ it

Everyone’s socks look great-I hope my kp replacement size 2s come this week or Sat when i’m back home for the weekend so I can finish sister’s socks. I did one sock and the yarn cake is still very full-she may get 2 pair and I’ll probably have enough to make Caitlin another pair…who knows. Then again, I may get tired of the colors and put it away. Wonder how much yarn it’d take to make mittens for sister out of the same yarn? anyone know?
ok well the kids are watching tv on Grandmas new tv (bought yesterday) and they’re being a little roudy so I’d better go see what they’re up to.
