[Anthropologie-inspired Capelet] Inspired Shrug

Ok, so here’s what I made out of the Mmmmmmmalabrigo Angelia sent me.

It’s kind of hard to see all the colors unless you’re up close to it. And I ran out of yarn. I was going to make seed stitch cuffs and have a few more inches of ribbing at the bottom.
Oh well. I’ll see about getting another hank later.
I don’t really need a whole hank though. So, I dunno. I don’t have any colors that would match to just add on.

I put buttons on the front of this one. I like how it looks with the top two buttoned.

I can’t wait to wear it to work. All that loverly yarn… Now I see why everyone here just calls it Mmmmmm.

It’s beautiful!!!
Looks great on you, WTG :cheering: :cheering:

OMG, I almost fell off my chair when I saw that! BEAUTIFUL! I love it with the long sleeves and in Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

What colorway is that? :inlove:

Thanks.

179 - Black Forest.

I got 2 skeins as a gift, and used up both of them completely.

Awesomeness! I really like how it turned out, very creative and clever!

That’s beautiful. And in such wonderful yarn. It looks great on, especially with the two cute little buttons. Good idea.

2 skeins you say, huh?

So, did you just make a worsted weight anthro capelet and then keep going on the sleeves?

Yep. One skein took care of the body. The second was used up on the sleeves.

I cast on 67 sts (plus two for selvege edges) for a measurement of 15.5 inches. Worked out perfectly.

Cute! I was thinking of using that pattern to make something long-sleeved too, kind of like this. Unfortunately, my yarn won’t be quite as nice.

How beautiful Friskie_Kittie!!! I love the long sleeve version. I am still working on mine. I am making mine out of the Patons SWS in Natural Plum. Can’t wait to get it finished!!!

awww I love it!!  great job!! :cheering: :cheering:

beautiful! I can just imagine how soft it is! I am working on a cross between the capelet and a hooded shrug from craftster.org in Colinette cotton tape.

What a great idea! Can’t wait to see it.

Very nice, looks so soft!! :cheering:

Very cute! I like the two buttons at the top as well.

   it!

When you added the buttons how did you know where to put the button holes?

Generally you make the buttonholes evenly spaced wherever you think they’re needed and sew the buttons to match.
