Another sock question

Ok, I following the pattern on the heel flap (I’m on the 17th row) and this is what it looks like:

The brown sts are were I started the heel, those are ones I’ve been slipping. They haven’t moved up with the knitting. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong but my sock doesn’t look anything like a sock yet.

Heres the pattern again: http://cache.lionbrand.com/patterns/kmstripe-socks.html?noImages=0
Heel flap (worked back and forth on 28 heel sts only)
Row 1 *Slip 1, k 1; rep from *.
Row 2 *Slip 1, p 1; rep from *.
Repeat Rows 1 and 2 until heel flap measures 2¼" (28 rows), ending with Row 2.

This is what I’m working on right now. Please help!! :wall:

Can you take a picture of the entire sock (with all needles showing)?

ok, heres a picture of the whole sock.

The stitches that are being slipped should either be knitted or purled on the next row.

So, the stitch that you’ve slipped from row 1 would be purled on row two - which will help them move up with the work. You should always be ending with a K1 or a P1. Maybe your stitch count isn’t right? I can count 28 stitches which should end up with a K or p if you do Sl 1 K1 across.

I hope this helps!

I replied in your other post.
