Another small FO: Tiny blankie

This little blankie is for the compassionate knitting project KAL. Its a tiny blankie about 12" X 13" made with just over 1 oz of baby yarn. The pattern stitch doesn’t look quite like it did in my book, but I think it looks fine anyway.

The colors are pretty, but I’m hoping the yarn softens up a bit after I wash it. It’s an older skein of Red Heart Baby yarn and its a little bit on the scratchy side. A good wash in some baby detergent and a little fabric softener should help it.

For the fabric softener, what do you use? I’m making preemie hats and can’t really figure it out because I don’t want the baby to be allergic to it :frowning:

What a great blanket. I just finished up a mini baby blanket but I love this pattern better. You did a fantastic job!!! Where do I find the pattern? What is the Compassionate KAL?
