I finally finished this darn thing. I got an inspiration on how to block it to dry and it worked really well. I took a bowl and sat a straw hat with about the dimensions I wanted and the look I wanted onto the bowl then shaped the red hat over it and let it dry. It came out fine. I still want to make a solid wool one so the brim will be stiff and not floppy, but that can wait for awhile. I needed a hat for tomorrow’s luncheon and the other hat looks like a bellman’s cap on me.
So great!! What a great way to block it too!
Looks Great~ One of the best Red Hat Society hats I have seen~ :cheering:
What kind of other yarn did you use for the brim~~ :??
Great job! Y’all red hat ladies are so cute
Sorry in the delay in replying, I just saw the post
I used Lion Brand Wool for Felting and Bernat Disco in Mowtown Mauve
It was a hit at my luncheon. One lady wants to know how to do it.
