Another question on my gansey sweater pattern

Okay. I’m up to the part where I have to divide for front and back yokes. The pattern says “Work 15 gusset sts and place on a holder; work across 93 (103,113,123) sts; place next 15 sts (gusset) on a holder; place rem 93 (103,113,123) sts on a holder for back. Working front sts only, continue in established pats until front measures 4 (4, 5 1/2, 5 1/2) inches above gusset holders, ending with a WS row.”

My question is, it says to work across 15 gusset sts, then work across 123 sts. Then, for the other gusset and other 123 sts, it just says put them on a holder but does NOT say to work them first before placing on holder. Is this a mistake? Should I work them first or not? Does it matter? Thank you!

No, you do not work across the second set of 123 stitches they are placed on hold for the back. Now you have 123 stitches on your needle with your yarn in the correct position to work the front back and forth. Happy knitting.

Thank you so much, flknit5!
