how do you charge it through the computer? i got one on ebay but the only charger it came with was the usb one. not the ac adapter. does any one charge it through computer and how.
just plug one end to the USB port on ur computer, and the other to ur iPod.

yes, the computer does have to be on, and u dont have to have any programs running (though if ur computer have multiple accounts, u should log on to one first rather than plugging it in right away, that might cause problems) itunes will usually pop up, depending on whether u have it installed or what ur setting are. i recommend itunes for ipods though
