Another floyd vest question

Thanks again to the moderator who helped me with my decrease sts early thing morning. Now I have to get the shoulders to 27 sts, however, you were also instrumental in instructing me out to do short rows on the shoulders for the back (now 27 sts on each holder for 3 needle bind-off later) and I’m wondering if I continue the dec as instructed on the pattern to get to the 27 sts, or should I do the short-rows now as I did for the back to get the 27 sts?

The dec now reads; Dec 1 st at neck edge only on 4th and 9th foll 4th rows. 27 sts.

Again, thanks in advance, Kay

OOPS! First I have to do the 9" armhole length to match the back.

I’m just not getting this and feel really stupid!

Dec 1 st at neck edge only on the 4th and 9th foll 4th rows. 27 sts.

So dec 1 st every 4th row? until I get 27 sts.

Also, the 27th sts I have on holders for the shoulders in the back have a slight slope to them, is this going to cause a problem if the 27 on the front don’t slope when I go to do the 3-needle bind-off?

It may be a mistake in the pattern. It probably should read:

Dec 1 st at neck edge only on the 4th and 9 foll 4th rows. 27 sts.

So yes, that would be dec at the neck edge every 4th row, 10 times total. That would take you from 37 to 27sts.
