I now have to move the sleeve stitches to a scrap piece of yarn. How do I do that? Do I knit the stiches as I am transfering the stitches or do I not knit these stitches? and how to I get them on a piece of string?
I use a sewing needle. Like the plastic needles you use to sew up seams? I just thread the needle through the stitches as I remove them from the knitting needles.
So you don’t knit them before you move them?
Nope, slip them off the knitting needles. This way, when you knit the next stitch, it closes the sleeve.
Thank you for the quick reply
:yay: :cheering:
I have used the plastic wire used to make Square Braids
and I have simply knit them onto another Circ using each end of a new skein/ball of yarn (one end from inside, one from outside)
I have lso used the smaller 16" Circ for each arm
can you tell I have made a few of these little Sweaters?
I love them
not sure if I am gonna wear mine for Thankgiving
its blue and goes with a Skirt I own that has a Denim Top end
my other, More appropriate Skirt, is Brown, but goes with the oversized Tunic Sweater I just bought from Good Will (lots of nice hand knit things this week, including 5 Ponchos, 3 of which I bought)
Sorry
