Another ? about the sweater

These are the instructions again:

[color=red]“End having just purled a row. Bind off 1 st at beginning of next 2 rows for underarm. Begin decreasing for raglan armholes as follows:
Row 1: Knit across row until 4 sts remain, K2 tog TBL (Through Back Loop), K2.
Row 2: Purl across row until 4 sts remain, P2 tog, P2.”[/color]

I started with 61 stitches. After doing this: [color=red]Bind off 1 st at beginning of next 2 rows for underarm. [/color] I should have only 59 stitches right?
Now when I do the Row 1 Row 2 thing how do I count stitches of each row and know what I’m suppose to have? I have to count cause I’m so knew that I still once in a great while add/drop stitches.
Am I losing ONE stitch per row?

Hi again,

Yes, you’re “losing” one stitch per row on the raglan decreases. The K2 tog tbl and the P2 tog are taking two stitches and making it one.

Yes, after doing the two bind off rows you should have 59 stitches left. :thumbsup:
