An Interesting Read

There is a thread on the site where I blog that may be an interesting read for some of you, especially those of the Christian faith. I’ve posted a few comments of my own there, which is neither here nor there, but it’s interesting reading the various people’s replies coming from their own beliefs.

For anyone who reads it, I should provide some background info relating to my own comments so as to avoid any misunderstandings.

Firstly, the original poster of the article is someone I respect and like, but I often post things that are challenging or even tongue-in-cheek. Don’t mistake some of my comments for antagonism or dislike. We have a fairly long history and she understands what I am doing (stirring the pot). I respect all people’s beliefs even if I don’t agree with them.

Secondly, while she, another poster, and I share a common basic belief in God and Jesus, we come from different viewpoints on those beliefs, She is a Protestant, the other poster is Catholic, and I am a non-denominational Christian who happens to disagree with almost all denominational dogma.

Although, I will add, I HATE arguing, and will refuse to entertain it on MY blog…save that for those who enjoy fruitless debate. NOT FOR ME!

:roflhard: debate is so much fun though! Sometimes I’ll take an opposite view just so I can challenge someone. Doesn’t mean I believe that way I just enjoy the word play.

I was on a debate team in high school and college and I often had to debate a position I didn’t personally agree with. It’s all in good fun.
