An Excellent Week!

After months of things going downhill (house burned down, husband’s company shut down and he was unemployed for almost two months, been living with my parents, had to give my other dog to a good home, etc.) things have finally picked up for the better. Hubby got a new job that’s even better than the one he had before, my Whippet is much happier in her new home and my younger sister is moving away from home for the first time. I’m so happy for her.

Well, since she’s in the process of packing, she’s been going through some of her things and she gave me an entire bag of yarn and fabric. She has some lovely yarns she’s giving to me - some Moda Dea Zing, Patons Classic Merino, Lion Wool-Ease and some Schaefer Sherri Lewis yarn (that was actually mine and then I gave to her at one point and now she’s giving it back to me LOL). Then today a package came in the mail. I had an extra copy of Stitch 'n Bitch Nation that I was trading for some yarn. I received ten skeins of the softest wool and Mohair blends. Plus, I finished sewing my roll-up DPN case and it looks fabulous and my needles love their new home. I took some pics last night of the needle case and I am going to take some pics of my new yarn stash additions and post everything. :happydance:

Now I’ve never lost a home to fire, but I know about layoffs and having to move my family in with my parents… and that’s not easy. So I’m really glad that you have so much new yarn to play with, and that your husband got a new job! Things are looking up for you! :hug:
