Amy! - Thank you!

I want to start the baby sock video tonight. I actually have a husband free night!!! I’m going to stop and pick up some dpns after work, what size do I need???

I believe that this is the pattern that she is using in the sock video. It uses size 6 needles.

You’re so smart!

Thanks KQ.

I use size 4 5" needles, by the way. With worsted weight wool. Now, I’m a tight knitter, so I’m getting a gauge of 6 stitches to the inch, but baby socks are more forgiving than many other socks or patterns.

I guess my point is that it’s worth it to experiment and see what you like. I was shocked to find myself doing the pattern with regular worsted weight wool on tiny little plastic needles!

The wonderful thing about these socks is that they work up SO quickly! Good luck to you.

Alison

I’m almost done with my first sock and it is quite big, maybe going down in needles will help.

I finished!!! I think I’m going to try worsted weight yarn on the 6s and use this cotton on 4s. But I don’t think it came out so bad for my first try!!! All thanks to AMY!!! :cheering: Hip Hip Hooray!!!

Aww! That sock is so adorable!! :inlove:

That looks darn good to me! Your first sock? I’m impressed.

Oh that is so cute! I’m wishing I had started learning socks on a baby sock instead of an ADULT sized sock! LOL What yarn did you use?

Cream and Sugar, the next sock I’m doing will be worsted weight on the 6s, I think this yarn would be better on 4s.
