This has been a great Birthday!! :woot: :woot: Yesterday I went to my favorite LYS with my buddy. They didn’t have any Mmmmmm in the color I wanted so instead I spent $55 on 600 yds. of Tweed Alpaca from The Great Adirondack Yarn Company in Sierra Monet The color is so beautiful and it’s soooo soft, I just had to get it. My buddy and I kept enabling each other, it was so funny. She gave me 3 balls of Plymouth Royal Bamboo in a kind of gold color. Maybe you all can help me decide what my babies want to be when they grow up. On Thursday when Jerry and his friends went on their geezer lunch, Jerry had them stop by B&N and he picked up the Knitter’s Bible and a really nice Veggie Cookbook for me. I can’t wait to use it. Jerry also wrote me a poem, which he always does me on my birthday and our anniversary, it was so beautiful, it made me cry. And if all this wasn’t enough our oldest son call to wish me a happy b-day and to tell us that there will be another grand-baby in February. I told Jerry he has to live now to see the baby. I so happy :woot: :woot: :woot: This has been the best birthday!!!
And congratulations on your new soon to be grandbaby… another new person to knit for :happydance::happydance::happydance:
I can’t believe how much you just helped me in your post. I bought some yarn a year or two ago - I know it is Great Adirondack and that it is alpaca. But everything else I forgot, including the yardage and recommended needle size. I am usually so careful about saving the lables but for some reason it was missing. I tried calling the yarn store last week where I bought it. They went out of business. I have been googling to try and find it all weekend and then I saw your post. THANKS SO MUCH!!!:balloons::balloons::balloons:
I love the Knitters Bible it’s a great book. If you look in the How to section under Sheep toy, there is a link to the corrections for the book. Make sure you get them before starting any project in there, especially the sheep toy!
