Alternative Yarn

Hi can anyone suggest an alternative for King Cole’s Wave. It’s been discontinued and I cant find enough to buy online. Thanks

What weight is it, or what size needles and gauge does it have?

According to Ravelry it’s a bulky yarn that uses 16 st over 4 inches, US 10 (6-7mm) needles.

It looks a little like Lion Brand Homespun. The gauge, weight and needle size are also similar so that may work.

But don’t knit Homespun with a 10, use an 11, it’s easier to work with on larger needles.

Cascade 128 Superwash or Crystal Palace “Iceland” might also work; they’re bulky weight and quite soft. I have each of them OTN right now.

Thanks everyone for your input. I’ve found some yarn that is 30% wool and 70% acrylic. which is the same as Waves. The tension and needles are not a match but the pattern I’m using is easy to work out.
