You know how little boys are about receiving clothes as gifts. Once they reach the age of about six, they’d rather take a dreaded bath than get excited about clothes of any sort, no matter how lovingly chosen or made.
DGSs favorite comic hero is the Batman, and with any luck he’ll wear this hat and love it too. (though he’ll probably not admit more than a “meh” to me )
Gramma is really proud of this hat, because the pattern is 100% hers, from sizing to making the fair isle chart. Not too shabby for a first effort at pattern design, I think. Anyway, when I turned it inside out to see how the chart worked up IRL, I just had to take a picture and share! Heres hoping the link to my Rav page works for you!
I’ve finished the knee hi sox and now I’ve maybe finished the toe increases for SIL’s sox. I’m waiting on a measurement and to know how snug he likes them. I’ll knit him sox, I won’t measure his foot. :noway: Thanks for asking.
That is fantastic, Charlotte! And your first pattern design, I would say that congratulations are certainly in order, well done Young boys do love their comic book heroes and your DGS is no exception; I’m sure the hat will be well-received.
Well done. I’m now singing the batman theme (in my mind quietly so as not to set the dogs off - yes I’m that bad) after looking at that impressive work. Congratulations.
I may just do that, but only after I change the name of the pattern to avoid trademark infringement… Or get brave enough to try for a licensing agreement.:teehee:
