Ohh I love that!!! Do you have a pattern??
Nice! Man that is a lot of seaming!
Thats a lot of moss stitch, too! You deserve a medal for that one. I’ll be crossing my fingers for the felting. It will look fantastic!
i do. its from the book: “knitting for baby”
felting in progress…
the seaming was very boring, im sure you all agree… the moss stitch, i really thought i was gonna lose it a few times. hehe, but im so glad i did it. if it felts well, ,i think amy will be pleased!
Oh wow, that look great! I can’t wait to see it after it’s felted!
Wow! I bet you’ve worked on that one for a while…moss stitch is really time consuming but I love the end result. Can’t wait to see it once its felted! It looks great already!
Ill echo what everyone else said and add that I cant wait to see how felted moss st differs from felted stockinette or garter!
I love it! I hope your friend appreciates all the hard work that you put into this- 1200 yards of moss stitch-
Can’t wait to see the felted pic!!
WOW! Patience, grasshopper. I think 1200 yards of moss stitch followed by all that seeming would have driven me completely 'round the bend!
Looks great! :cheering: Can’t wait to see it after it’s felted!
Fabulous work!!! You deserve a huge round of :cheering: for making it through all that moss stitch & seaming!!!
Well, the bag came out, except for the front pocket. the edging is all riff raffy. it looks almost uneven on the one side. What can i do to fix this? i cant pull the pocket off right? and i dont think i can felt the bag again, or else it would start to lose its shape.
i thought about knitting and felting a whole new outside pocket, bigger and hand sewing it so she would have an interior and exterior pocket. if i felt it before i sew it, it should alleviate the problem. Does anyone have any other suggestions?
I think your solution sounds like a great idea.
OMG! I love it!! Great job!!!
Can’t wait to see if felted!
ok, so this is what it looks like felted… the side pockets and seams came out beautifully, the front pocket, well you will see… i still think i am going to knit a bigger pocket, felt it and hand sew it. im also going to to the same for small rectangles to cover the strap connection. maybe offset it but doing a cross stitch in the taupe… what do you guys think?
The rest of the bag looks so good, I agree that you want to do something with the pocket. Maybe you could try putting a cross stitch along the edge of the present pocket? If it doesn’t help, you could just take it out and make another.
Otherwise, it looks wonderful!!
can i actually remove the pocket? it is a seperate piece, but it was all felted together… i would remove it if i could, maybe i should let well enough alone and just add the second pocket to give an internal and external pocket. ugh, i hate when something doesnt work out. hehe… ah the pangs of being a control freak!
