All the cabling videos seem to be for continental knitters

All right, I think I understand how to do a basic left twist cable and am ready to try a sample patch. My friend explained it to me. But, she is a continental knitter and the video on this website uses continental knitting also. Once I have my stiches on the cable needle, do I just do my normal English Method knitting? Has anyone seen any videos with this method? Do I have to learn to knit the “other” way to do cables? Any tips?
Thanks!

The cable videos are only showing you how to manipulat the cable needle in reference to you other (left and right) needle. The way you knit doesn’t make a difference.
