I’m trying a new pattern and I am having trouble figuring out what all of this means:
P6 (P1. yo. P1)all in next st. P9.
I understand that I need to purl 6, but I am confused with the middle part.
Any help would be great!
Thanks!
(P1. yo. P1) all in next st.
You are to do ALL three of these maneuvers in the next stitch.
P1. Leave stitch on left needle. YO. P1 into that same stitch. NOW remove the stitch form your left needle.
Hi and welcome to Knitting Help!
Yes, as Rk says, all into the one stitch without removing it from the left needle. This video may help. In it, the p1, yo, p1 is worked into a yo from the previous row but the idea is the same as working into a stitch from the previous row. I like the second method demonstrated but see which you prefer.
I just watched the video in the link salmonmac gave, and it’s very good! The woman has a vlog, which also teaches basic beginner knitting. Interesting!
thanks salmonmac!
