African Lion Safari?

No…not off topic, as strange as this sounds…

I was browsing yarn on Ravelry today, and I wanted to check out the closest yarn shops to me…not believing that the were that many.

The last suggestion on the page was for a Springfield Farms. But the link went to African Lion Safari webpage…check this out…

I am in the process of emailing now to find out what “fine yarn” they have…weird huh…

It may sound a little odd but I knmow some of the historic sites that raise sheep sell the woll for extra income…think how much they can charge because of the “historic” or “exotic” nature of the wool they sell…

Interesting…you do have a point!

I looks as though this may be a side thing though. The farm is a different name than the park!

I love finding off the beat places…they have the best stuff…I found a place called Wellington Fibres, they raise angora goats…and they are the nicest people!

I love the wool they make and the goats are adorable!

I have a friend who works at a historic house in Charleston and they let her have some of the wool after she has washed, spun, and dyed for the demonstrations…I think they sell the rest under a different name but I don’t have all the details…I just want her to send me some!!!
