I have just finished the pattern on a sleeve consisting of 16 rows, the increases was on row number 5 and row number 11, I now have to start stocking stitch but need to increase another 6 stitches along the way, the pattern states increase as set, what number rows would I increase?
Advice
Usually “as set” refers to the placement of the decrease along the row. For example, one at the beginning of the row and one at the end of the row. It’s not easy to judge with confidence from 2 rows (5 and 11) but you might try every 6 rows. Are there no further instructions about the frequency of the increases?
What is the name of your pattern and the designer?
The pattern is from Sirdar, no number as bought from eBay and it was a photo copy
Very nice little sweaters.
The sleeves on the top two cardigans continue in stockinette stitch (knit one row, purl one row) after the lace pattern. It’s difficult to tell with the third cardigan but looking at the overall lace on the fronts, the sleeves are likely to continue the lace pattern.
