Adjusting hat pattern for DPNs?

I found this pattern for a seeded hat, and it looks pretty cool, but I’d like to work it in the round. I have no clue how to adjust a straight-knit pattern for DPNs though. Can anyone help?

Any hat can be done in seed stitch. I think if you have an odd number of stitches and just keep k1 p1 you will end up with seed stitch. I’m sure someone will come along and verify this…

I agree–any adjustment would be just to remove two stitches that would have been used for the seam.

Even or odd number of stitches for working in the round? I know it’s knit the purls and purl the knits, but to make it easier…

Probably even, so you’d still have k1p1 all the way around. Odd would have you end with a k and start with a k. So one row would be k1p1 and the next would be p1k1.
