I’m almost finished with a sweater for my son. I used Elizabeth Zimmerman’s seamless sweater formula to do it, but DS wants a hoodie.
What I did was when I hit a point where the neck was just a bit wider than he would like it, I kept knitting but eliminated the decreases and then started knitting back and forth instead of in the round. I added about four garter stitches to keep it from curling.
Before I kept going, I thought I better check with veteran knitters in case there is something really wrong with what I’m doing. I figured that once I get it long enough I’d just fold in half vertically then kitchener stitch it to complete the hood.
Or is there a better way to add a hood?
