? About Creative Knitting Pattern

I haven’t been on here in a while and surprise; I am back to ask a question.

I am knitting the Cables and Lace Tunic from the issue January 2009 of Creative Knitting. I am on rows 2-12 of the Back and Sides portion where I now need to knit from the chart on page 95.

I am knitting a size medium and have 196 sts on the cable needle (though not knitting in the round) and once again…I can not figure out what I am supposed to do as my set up row to acct for sts before and after the chart.

I am on the purl side (RS) so I figured it would be a portion of the first part under Back and Sides but it doesn’t seem to go with what I have been knitting as the pattern and from the picture I can see the pattern continues all the way up except for the chart portion.

Any help please if you have this magazine. I would really love to get this sweater done.

It just occured to me…did I put this in the wrong section?

Any help please with this pattern?

Sorry, I don’t have that issue. I did spend a bit of time yesterday looking on-line for a picture of it but couldn’t find one.

Maybe no one has the pattern. If you write out a few of the rows - like the set up row and a couple of following rows - someone may be able to help you out. Have you looked at their website for corrections? There seems to be some for the set up row on the front panel.

The section I am on started with -

(Front/Back right side) P1, M1, pm; P2, C4B, P2, pm; [k1, p1] twice, k1, pm; p2, C4B, p2, pm; [k1, yo, ssk, p2] 3 times, k1, yo, ssk, pm; p2, c4b, p2, pm; [k1, p1] twice, k1, pm; p2, c4b, p1; (back center panel) p1, pm; p2, pm; p2, c4b, p2, pm; work est. Lace Rib Pattern across 15 sts, pm; M1, k18, M1, pm; work est. Lace Rib pattern across 15 sts, pm; p2, c4b, p2, pm; p2, pm; p1; (front/bacl left side) p1, c4b, p2, pm; [k1, p1] twice, k1, pm; p2, c4b, p2, pm; [k1, yo, ssk, p2] 3 times, k1, yo, ssk, pm; p2, c4b, p2, pm; [k1, p1] 2 times, k1, pm; p2, c4b, p2, pm; M1, p1- 196 sts.

This section is after I did the lace rib pattern until panel measures 6 inches from beginning ending with row 1 of pattern. I only listed the RS as I did the WS and am now ready to do the RS again. I did Row 1 after this beginning row (above) and am trying to continue on with row 2-12 of the chart. Can you tell from the above row what the established part would be to begin with and end with on the chart?

This is what you want to know -
(back center panel) p1, pm; p2, pm; p2, c4b, p2, pm; work est. Lace Rib Pattern across 15 sts, pm; M1, k18, M1, pm; work est. Lace Rib pattern across 15 sts, pm; p2, c4b, p2, pm; p2, pm; p1;

For the lace rib pattern you just continue on in its chart wherever you were when you got to this point.
