I have a pattern in a hard-cover book for an ABC knit baby blanket. The photo is of a white blanket, and all 26 letters are represented. The book was a fairly new publication, I believe, and also included a “donkey” sweater for toddlers.

I am currently traveling and found a WONDERFUL yarn shop, but don’t know what kind of yarn or yardage this pattern called for. And the pattern is sitting thousands of miles away at home.

If anyone has this book/pattern and could look up the yarn type and yardage for me, I would be soooo grateful!

The pattern is for the Alphabet Blanket from Debbie Bliss’s The Baby Knits Book.

I don’t have the pattern in front of me either, but i can check when i get home tomorrow. It looks like most people use her wool/cotton and use 11 balls. i found one site that has a picture of the blanket and has you buy 11balls of baby cashmerino to use for the blanket.

Both yarns have the same gage listed at 25st/34rows for 4 inches.

The wool/cotton looks like it is now discontinued.
