A Universal Size?

Okay, so as we all know, there are a MILLION different types of needles, and after mostly using straight needles, I figure i should switch to circulars. The thing is, i don’t exactly want to buy a bunch of different lengths for the same sized needle. Is there one length that i can just buy for all my circs?

I think that a 24" or 61cm is always good for most all projects. If you need something smaller or longer you can get that on an “as needed” business… or just get Addi-Clicks. I’m coveting a set… come on Mommy’s Day!

I find a 29-32" is probably the most versatile as you can easily get an adult sweater on them, ML or single loop for smaller tubes and they’re about long enough for most blankets. I do use a 24" quite a lot for flat knitting on smaller projects though.

I use the 24" cable cord for just about EVERYTHING! On a very rare occasion I have
to slip 200-300 stitches to a 32" (example: my Log Cabin Blanket!)

Using a cable cord that is too long is a PITA. So try to knit with shortest cable cord possible,
and the 24" is perfect for almost everything!
