Sorry, I tried to edit my last thread. For some reason I could not get that done. Here is a smaller Tam and I made the cowl to go with it for Sophia.

The pattern’s are from the Kids’ Knitted Hats book by Cabin Fever. I got it at Joann’s. It is a thin paperback book. You might be able to find it online I don’t know. They are fun to knit.

Your tam and cowl came out great!!! Did you follow the pattern completely with the cowl. I am having trouble with mine. It just doesn’t look as good as the picture in the book. What yarn did you use? I am using Caron SS.

I am so envious. I have four sets of these to make for Christmas and can’t seem to get it right!!!

[COLOR=blue] Thanks, Yes I did follow the pattern. I did do some ripping back. Somehow I got off rhythm with the lace pattern for a bit. I had to take out about 2 in’ and redo it. k2 tog,yo,k1,yo,sL1,k1,psso.[/COLOR]
[COLOR=#0000ff]next row knit. Just repeat these two rows for 13 in’ I used Sirdar Country Style Dk. It is great to work with and is washable.[/COLOR]
[COLOR=#0000ff]I’m making two more sets of these for Christmas. I’m using Plymouth Encore worsted wt. for those. Don’t give up, you can do it. I didn’t try to knit the lace with Sophi here :gah:LOL[/COLOR]

What colors are you making them in? Would love to see pictures when you are finished. I’m going to make Sophi a pair of mitten’s with the leftover yarn.
